Anxiety about COVID

Many people are experiencing heightened anxiety from COVID-19 at the moment, with the recent rise in infection rates. You may be concerned about vaccinations, travelling interstate, going out to public events, mingling with large numbers of people, or the safety of your loved ones.

Anxiety can trick you into thinking about worst-case scenarios. Try to limit your exposure to social media where there is a lot of myths and misinformation circulating about COVID. For many people, their anxiety is temporary and will reduce over time. Learn some relaxation and breathing techniques so that you can use them if you ever experience a panic sensation.

Counselling can help you to manage your worries, to see what things you can control and what things are out of your control. Seek help when you need it.
