WHAT NDIS SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
Listen and Care Counselling is an independent provider and has experience providing counselling to NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants.
The NDIS defines counselling services as “providing support to facilitate self-knowledge, emotional acceptance and growth and the optimal development of personal resources, to help the participant work towards their personal goals and gain greater insight into their lives”.
You will need Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living in your plan, so that you can access Counselling services (Therapeutic Supports) through the NDIS.
Listen and Care Counselling works in partnership with a participant to discuss their problems and develop strategies to manage their issues
Chris uses a client-centred approach and has experience working with participants who have autism, ADHD, ADD, OCD, physical disabilities and chronic health issues, such as MS.
Chris has a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and is double vaccinated against COVID-19.
Employment Related Counselling
Listen and Care Counselling has experience providing Employment Related counselling to NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants.
The NDIS defines employment-related counselling as providing “counselling to assist participants to successfully engage in employment”, or needing “significant support to develop a new work pathway”.
You will need Capacity Building – Finding and Keeping a Job in your plan, so that you can access Employment Related Counselling services through the NDIS.
Chris is a qualified Careers Practitioner and has over 12 years experience helping school students, young people and adults to find their career pathway, by identifying their interests, skills and strengths.
